Hey everyone, I'VE MISSED YOU ALL SO MUCH!!!! wow, i walked past West End this morning when it was pouring it down with rain and it looked so warm and welcoming inside!! I just wanted to come in and spend my day with all you lot, but then i had to go to Highschool :(
New Year Sixes, let me just tell you to savour EVERY SINGLE SECOND of your last year at West End. I miss it so much now, and i would give anything to be back there. Miss the teachers, miss the kids there, miss break times, miss the EASY lessons! Honestly, make the most of it!

Well done to all Y6 on their fantastic SAT results. The transfer to the High School will go very smoothly and you'll soon get used to 'new ways'.

It seems like a lifetime ago since I last saw you all. I think about you often.
I'm glad to see that the fantastically positive comments about the school continue, and I'm happy that Mr Clarke is doing a good job. (Will Year 6 be on the interview panel?)
Well, it's that time of year again, and Year 6 will be keen to show what they can do in next week's SATs. GOOD LUCK! I know that they will have been well supported by all the staff.
You are all so lucky to have such a dedicated set of adults looking after you.
I have the house to myself at the moment (my wife's shopping for an outfit for our son's wedding) and I've just finished washing up and cleaning. Now I'm going to start making tea. Sometimes, I think working was easier!

Hey ! I did a reading test the other day and i got 40 / 44 which gave me a level 4 ! Im really happy withn the score i got ! My mates also did well ! Today we did a spelling test and i got 20/ 20 and so did Emily Newby . We both got 3 stars for great effort !!!! I marked Lacey Collins work and she got 18 ! She did extremely well x x

OHH abig thankyou to mrs hammond who is a big big help 2 y6 (my class) for being a great help with perparing for are sats!And every teacher who helps us with are booster classes with is great because it gives us the opatunity 2 work with teachers in small groups and gives us confidance!Also it is great to work with are old teachers like today i worked with mr clarke and mrs brookes with was fantastic!

Hope you have had a wonderful half term holiday. I didn't realise how tired I was, not that I have managed to get much rest. All my little ones have been ill so I have had a lot of sleepless nights. I think they are over the worst of it now.

Hiya Im Kelsey i love playing football and play for a team in Hemswoth called the Hemsworth Miners Welfare. We won our forst game 8-0 and our second game 14-1 i scored 5 in the first match and 8 in the second our third one was 7-6 to us so we won all our games so far and have a game this Saturday agaist a team in Royston.

I would like to say an extra well done to mrs Hammond for making this site .

Hi we used to come here and left in 2005. :( Just would like to give a big shout out to our mum's Mrs Dorothy ward who is a dinnertime superviser && Mrs Carol Dewrow who is the head cook at west end school kitchen!!

I am doing my family tree and just came across this wonderful site!
I was born 108 Barnsley Road 1936.
son of Arthur & Eliza Ann Terry, both now deceased.
we moved to Oldham about 1944 during war.
But always think of Hemsworth, I attended the school as an infant and vaguely recall a farm at the side ?? we used to look at animals over the wall!
My parents & grandparents are all buried at Hemsworth Cemetry.
It is quite possible we still have relations in Hemsworth ,though I dont know because I am the last of 5 children and having problems obtaining info?
May I wish the school & staff good luck.
Wish I could visit but unfortunately I am now disabled and cannot get about.
