Welcome to West End Primary

Hi!  I’m Gillian Felstead, a Higher Level Teaching Assistant and I work mostly in Y5/6.  As well as general assistant duties I also cover PPA time, along with other assistants.  I started working here in 2002 – it seems like only yesterday!  I love this job – especially the school holidays! (Only joking!)  I like spending time with my family and having fun.  My biggest ambition was to drive a tank, which I achieved in 2005.  I am now setting my sights even higher; I want to drive a gigantic earth moving machine!

Hi!  My name is Sharon Beaumont and I am a teaching assistant in Y3/4.  Part of my duties also include covering PPA time along with the other assistants.  I also work as a support worker for Mrs. Williams in Y5/6 and I support Mr. Clarke with the Special Educational Needs paperwork.    I started here in October 2000 and I really do enjoy it, although I love the holidays too!   I also love chocolate and spending time with my family and friends.  I enjoy taking my dogs for a walk: I’ve got a dog called Tess and a new puppy called Missy.  I would like to learn to drive and learn more about ICT.  I really hate rainy days!

Hi, I’m Susan Philp and I work in Upper Foundation.  I started here in June 2000 and I really enjoy it.  I love spending time with my family and friends and want to live a long and happy life.  I’m a Christian and a member of my local church.  I love to laugh and look for the good and positive in life but I really don’t like bad manners!

Hello!  I’m Val Pawson and I’m a Special Educational Needs assistant as well as a teaching assistant.  I cover PPA time along with other assistants in school.   I started here when the primary school opened in 1996 and I really enjoy it!   I want to experience all the different stages of school and I want to make more progress working with computers.   I love walking, reading and having fun and I hate rainy days and cheese.

Hello! My name is Wendy Moore and I’m a Special Educational Needs assistant. I worked voluntary in nursery for a while and in 2003 I became a member of staff.  I love gardening and watching wildlife.  I also like to play football with my son – although I hate watching it on TV!

Hello! I'm Becky Lockett and I'm a Special Educational Needs assistant.  I started here in 2004.  I love to see smiles on everyone's face also love hometime so I can see my little girl.  I hate bad behaviour and people that are rude.  I still want to achieve my level 3 in Childcare.  I am a very easy going person.

Hello! I'm Julie Singleton and I'm a teaching assistant and part-time secretaty.  I started here in 2002.  I love walking with my dog and spending time with my friends and family.  I hate people who tell lies and are cruel to other people.  I would like to learn to play the piano and would like to see more of the world.  Nothing makes me more happier than to see someone smile.
